As we’ve mentioned quite a bit recently, we are taking everything we learned during our first year publishing on the Substack platform, working with our subscribers, and making enhancements/adjustments wherever we think it will add value. With the ETF Yourself research deck “makeover” 95% completed and now available to paid subscribers of that service (and of course, to SIRG subscribers who get everything we do), and the YARP dividend stock research center days away from its debut, here’s the latest: our new weekly report.
While you are receiving this first edition on a Thursday, we expect that this, plus a few key charts and other visuals, will comprise the new Sungarden Tuesday weekly newsletter. Tuesdays have been our primary content delivery day for a while, so this report aims to tighten up what we do each week on that day. We all know that time is money, eh?
What would you call a weekly 1-page snapshot, in tweet-sized bites, in plain language, that simply collects and organizes the latest views from a longtime market strategist, portfolio manager and researcher, in sets of 3 “bullet points” each?
How about…THE 3’s REPORT?
Did we nail it on the first try? That’s for our subscribers to judge. And since my computing skills are a “B-” at best and not an “A+,” we will likely makes some adjustments to this, and make it more visual with my typical stock, ETF and fundamental chart work.
Here’s how to read it
Below you see the first weekly edition of THE 3’s REPORT. From top to bottom, you will find a set of summary comments on a range of topic I think are relevant.
IMPORTANTLY, the further you go down the report, the more you transition from “what’s going on right now” to “what am I looking out for” to “what are the foundations of my investment approach.”
Since more people “discover” us every day, having this all in one place might be the best way for us to inform, educate, and dare I say “coach” investors, including reminders about what lies behind whatever the current views are.
Like a strong building, this report has a foundation at the bottom, which supports what you see at the top.
So let us know what you think. The report may be a bit small to read, so we have added it as a tab in the SIRG and ETF Yourself shared research decks for paid subscribers. Going forward, we’ll determine for how long we also share it publicly. And if you find it too hard to read in this Substack post, let us know and we’ll soon figure out how best to deliver it.
Feel free to reach me via the Substack chat or at info@sungardeninvestment.com with any questions, comments or feedback. Enjoy this first edition of THE 3’s REPORT!

Rob it is difficult to read on Substack but just fine as a tab with the Google file.
A totally different issue. Your SA article on Amcor came up as a premium article for me today (1st time this has happened, I am not a premium subscriber and not sure I want to be). Do your SA articles reside somewhere on the institutional site, or elsewhere? I could be missing the obvious location also!!
